It's official--what most Americans probably already know, has been verified. The U.S. is the fattest country: North America has the most obese adults and kids in the world, said U.S. News and World Reports August 10. Now that's a weighty problem and one that's growing. Statistics says that in the last 35 years, obesity rates and doubled and in some cases quadrupled! The number of states with 25 percent or more obese residents jumped from zero to 32.US is fattest country: America has most obese adults and kids in the world

Research is finding more links between consumption of sugary snacks and beverages and obesity. Now Coca-Cola funds an anti-diet weight loss agenda aimed at teaching people that lack of exercise causes fat, not sugar. CBS News reported August 11, that Coca-Cola provided $1.5 million in seed money for a non-profit Global Energy Balance Network. The goal ostensibly is to promote fitness, but in so doing, it downplays the role of diet in weight problems. No, no silly Coke, it's exercise you can skip, NOT diet. Obesity advocates say 'Ban the F word' to stop fat-shaming and weight bias

An obesity awareness group is taking a unique route to ending what it calls "weight bias. The Obesity Action Coalition says humiliating fat people must end. In fact, the word "fat" needs to go away altogether, said PR Newswire on July 6. OAC says "Ban the F word" to stop fat-shaming and get more equitable treatment for those who struggle with weight problems.   Obesity advocates say 'Ban the F word' to stop fat-shaming and weight bias.
